World-class music with local roots

Founded in 2005 by internationally acclaimed Danish flutist Janne Thomsen, Klassiske Dage is an annual music and cultural festival held each autumn in Holstebro and the wider Midtjylland region of Denmark. The festival brings together some of the world’s finest classical musicians for a week of concerts and events, while also engaging the local community through educational programs and participatory projects.

  • Scale & Reach: Nearly two decades of programing, featuring international soloists and ensembles performing across multiple venues from Thorsminde to Aarhus.
  • Youth & Education: Hundreds of children and young talents take part in numerous side-by-side educational projects with professionals, preparing over weeks for performances within the Festival. 
  • Community Engagement: Since 2019, the Festival has added a popular annual Christmas concert that has become a beloved tradition for local audiences.
